Cossa Polimeri has been in the compounding business since 1964. The business, which was started by Angelo and Armando Cossa in the Olgiate Olona area, focused on the recovery of industrial waste.
Today Cossa Polimeri stands out for a complete range of products dedicated to various industrial sectors, with a special attention to the demands of customers, to whom it often offers tailor-made solutions to best meet the most diverse needs. What distinguishes it is the very high level of research, so that it can always grasp the latest technological and market developments.
Cossa Polimeri is equipped with advanced processing plants and sophisticated control equipment for the production of thermoplastic compounds and more. The synthesis of the company’s activities are our products, distinguished by the ESTA trademark, formulated on different polymer matrices and aimed at meeting the multiple technical application needs of our customers. Faithful color reproducibility goes hand in hand with our flame-resistant compounds, modified with elastomers and mineral fillers, reinforced with glass fiber and, in general, with every formulation and product required by our customers. Flexibility in response, specialized technical service and product quality, also guaranteed by strict analytical control, characterizes Cossa Polimeri’s activity in all the relevant operating sectors. The products we offer to our customers are the result of several components: tailor-made quality is one of them.

Brothers Angelo and Armando Cossa establish the first company, “Fratelli Cossa,” dedicated to the recovery of industrial waste.

Between 1980 and 1990, “Fratelli Cossa” becomes the main supplier of Italian petrochemical producers (Montedison, Enichem, Himont, etc.).

The company is sold to the American distributor Ashland, which three years later sells it to Schullman’s.

Angelo Cossa founds Cossa Polimeri, with the goal of producing high value-added compounds.

Fi-Plast is founded as a spin-off of Cossa Polimeri’s consumer division, specializing in the production of biodegradable and compostable compounds for packaging and hygiene markets.

Cossa Polimeri acquires a new production site in Gorla Maggiore where there are 3 production plants. Cossa Polimeri acquires a new production site in Gorla Maggiore, featuring three production plants. The entire site is built according to Industry 4.0 standards.
